Friday. I was able to sleep longer on each side and more easily last night. Trips to the bathroom to urinate are still 4-5 times a night. I feel like I have Tiny Bladder Syndrome (TBS). This is due to surgery and healing still happening in that region along with increased volume of liquids that’s required during this time to help acclimate my single kidney. Today is Halloween and I’m looking forward to heading out and walking with the kids. I’m able to almost fully cough without using a pillow, bend down and pick up an object off the floor, and put on pants while standing up without holding onto something. Each day I’m able to more fully stand upright while walking and I’m able to sit up straight without any discomfort.
One interesting observation with regards to my abdomen area: I’m unable to identify which type of discomfort is occurring such as: Normal healing, versus potential bloating, or digestive track moving. I can tell when my bladder is full and indicating discomfort. I have glue on all the incisions, so they continue to look fine. There is some random itching from time to time around some of the incision areas- likely due to part of the healing process. Most of the glue will gradually flake off in about 10-14 days with the skin healing underneath. I have only had stitches in the past (broken arm requiring surgery), so the glue was a new experience and appears to be working well.
