Help Angela Pollard Find a Living Kidney Donor

Our family is reaching out with hope and faith. Angela is currently battling kidney disease, and her doctors have determined that she needs a kidney transplant. Because her arteries are hardening, a transplant is now her best option.

More than 100,000 people are waiting for a kidney transplant in the United States. The average wait time for a deceased donor kidney is five years or longer, and unfortunately, many people do not receive one in time.

A living kidney donor could help change that.

Living kidney donation is more common and safer than many people realize:

• You only need one kidney to live a healthy life
• Most surgeries are done with small laparoscopic incisions
• Recovery time is often around two weeks
• Medical costs are covered by Angela’s insurance
• Donors have their own medical team protecting their health

If you have ever considered helping someone in need, please consider learning more about becoming a living donor.
